Scientists in Israel have developed an exoskeleton suit designed to allow people paralyzed from the waist down to walk again. Its amazing how fast we are progressing with technology. How long before this can be hardwired to the nervous system?
How does juggling improve fitness?
August 22, 2008
Eye-hand coordination and prorioception (body awareness) are fundamental to both function and performance. Although most view fitness in terms of cardio-respiratory and muscular health, neuromuscular development is an essential component to overall physical functioning. Unfortunately, they both succumb to the use it or lose it principle at an even faster rate than most functions decline with aging. Even worse, the longer you wait to develop them the harder it is to accomplish even the most basic drills.
Juggling is a great way to improve both eye-hand coordination and proprioception. Although it might seem difficult at first you can scale your progression by using featherlight objects like hankerchieves before moving on to hacky sacks and tennis balls. Once you get slightly proficient it might also serve as a great low intensity cardio workout for light exercise days.
This is one of my all-time favorite juggling acts. Enjoy!

Yes, you read that correctly. What’s more is that she’s the perfect example that a woman can develop a fit and sexy appearance from lifting heavy weights. Melanie is a mother of 3, and at 33 years of age she finds the time to train.
